The COG GOOD CREW CAB 2.0 KONBU is an expandable handlebar bag made from KONBU?, a high-performance fabric developed by Japanese textile manufacturer Komatsu Matere.
From daily shopping and urban commuting to gravel riding, long-distance touring, and bike camping, its flexible design adapts to different loads and styles of riding.
The “CREW CAB” concept was inspired by the freedom of casually loading equipment into the bed of an American pickup truck.
COG has translated that idea into a versatile bicycle bag designed to carry essential gear without requiring a rigid or complicated packing system.
KONBU? is a distinctive nylon fabric named after the Japanese word for kelp.
It has a dry, firm texture and an unusually high level of stiffness for such a lightweight material. This allows the bag to retain its shape even when it is not fully loaded.
Often described as a “standing fabric,” KONBU? helps the bag maintain a clean silhouette when mounted on the bicycle and prevents it from collapsing or sagging easily under load.
Although its substantial texture resembles heavy canvas, the fabric is surprisingly lightweight when held.
