GROWTAC EQUAL Full Set / KASHIMA COAT Version | A Refined Mechanical Disc Brake System Ultralight construction, strong braking performance, and smooth operation maintained by the KASHIMA COAT finish. GROWTAC developed the EQUAL disc brake caliper to challenge the conventional limitations associated with mechanical disc brakes. The precision-machined super duralumin caliper is engineered as part of a complete system that also optimizes the inner cable, outer casing, and brake pads. At approximately 136g including the brake pads, it combines world-class lightweight construction with strong braking performance and precise modulation. EQUAL also features what GROWTAC describes as the world's first brake-feel adjustment system, allowing the braking response to be tuned to suit the rider's preference. Independent, continuously adjustable pad clearance on both sides makes detailed setup possible. This special version applies KASHIMA COAT to the caliper body and sliding components. The hard-anodized surface treatment incorporates molybdenum disulfide for high wear resistance and lubricity, helping reduce sliding resistance and allowing grease-free operation. It is designed to maintain a consistent braking feel over extended use. Suitable for road bikes, cyclocross, and gravel bikes, EQUAL retains the straightforward maintenance and serviceability of a mechanical system while delivering the braking performance and control required for demanding riding. STAFF REVIEW EQUAL stands out for more than braking power alone. It retains the accessibility and serviceability of a mechanical system while providing strong braking force and fine control at the lever. The KASHIMA COAT version feels especially smooth from the beginning of the lever stroke, and in our experience the braking feel changes very little over extended use. It is a compelling option for riders who value easy maintenance and train-assisted cycling trips, as well as those looking for reliable braking control for racing or gravel riding. GROWTAC EQUAL Post Mount Full Set | Adjustable Mechanical Disc Brakes with Strong Braking Power A Japanese-made post mount brake system combining easy cable maintenance, light lever action, and braking performance that approaches a hydraulic system. The GROWTAC EQUAL Post Mount model was developed to overcome the traditional limitations associated with mechanical disc brakes. Its precision-machined super duralumin calipers use GROWTAC's vertical-axis cam mechanism together with a dedicated cable system. This combination maintains the straightforward construction of a cable-operated brake while delivering light lever action and strong, controllable braking power. An integrated brake-feel adjustment system allows the response and lever feel to be tuned according to rider weight, riding conditions, and personal preference. The clearance of the left and right pads can also be adjusted independently and continuously. This makes rotor alignment, routine adjustment, and brake pad replacement easier to manage. With no hydraulic hoses or bleeding procedure required, the system is practical to service during train-assisted cycling trips or tours. It is suitable for upgrading road, cyclocross, and gravel bikes equipped with post mount brake fittings. 【STAFF REVIEW】 EQUAL stands out not only for its light lever action and braking force, but also for the ability to fine-tune how the brake responds. Cable and pad adjustments are easier to perform without specialized hydraulic servicing, making this model well suited to riders who travel with their bikes or handle their own maintenance. 【FEATURES】 ・Full mechanical disc brake set for post mount frames and forks ・Strong braking performance with a light lever action ・Precision-machined super duralumin caliper ・GROWTAC vertical-axis cam mechanism ・Special hard outer housing and low-friction cables included ・EVO RESIN pads developed with Vesrah ・Adjustable brake-feel system ・Independent, continuously adjustable pad clearance ・Suitable for road, cyclocross, and gravel bikes ・Cable-operated design for easier maintenance while traveling ・Made in Japan 【SPEC】 Type: Mechanical disc brake Mount Standard: Post mount Included: 2 disc brake calipers and 2 cable sets Caliper Material: Machined super duralumin aluminum alloy Cable: Low-friction stainless steel Brake Pad: EVO RESIN Pad Construction: Ceramic semi-metallic compound with aluminum backing plate Recommended Applications: Disc road, cyclocross, and gravel bikes Country of Origin: Japan ▼日本国内への配送ご希望は以下リンク先よりご購入手続きください。 https://store-eirin-jp.com/products/growtac-equal

GROWTAC EQUAL Flat Mount Full Set | Lightweight Mechanical Disc Brakes with Hydraulic-Like Power A Japanese-made mechanical disc brake system combining low weight, strong braking performance, and detailed adjustment without the maintenance requirements of hydraulics. The GROWTAC EQUAL Flat Mount model was developed to challenge the idea that mechanical disc brakes must compromise on braking power. Each precision-machined super duralumin caliper weighs approximately 136 g with the brake pad installed. GROWTAC's vertical-axis cam mechanism, dedicated cable system, and low-friction components work together to provide a light lever action and braking performance that approaches a hydraulic system. An integrated brake-feel adjustment system allows the response and lever feel to be tuned according to rider weight, riding conditions, and personal preference. The clearance of the left and right pads can also be adjusted independently and continuously. This makes it easier to align the pads with the rotor and perform routine maintenance or pad replacement. Because the system uses cables instead of hydraulic hoses, it requires no bleeding and is easier to service while traveling. It is suitable for road, cyclocross, gravel, and lightweight hill-climb builds. 【STAFF REVIEW】 The light lever action and firm increase in braking force give EQUAL a noticeably different feel from many conventional mechanical disc brakes. Its adjustable response also makes setup part of the appeal. It is especially worth considering for riders who value easy maintenance, travel frequently with their bike, or prefer to avoid hydraulic servicing. 【FEATURES】 ・Full mechanical disc brake set for flat mount frames and forks ・Approximately 136 g per caliper with brake pad installed ・Strong braking performance with a light lever action ・Precision-machined super duralumin caliper ・GROWTAC vertical-axis cam mechanism ・Special hard outer housing and low-friction cables included ・EVO RESIN pads developed with Vesrah ・Adjustable brake-feel system ・Independent, continuously adjustable pad clearance ・Suitable for road, cyclocross, and gravel bikes ・Cable-operated design for easier maintenance while traveling ・Made in Japan 【SPEC】 Type: Mechanical disc brake Mount Standard: Flat mount Included: 2 disc brake calipers, 2 cable sets, 1 front flat mount adapter, 1 rear mounting bolt set Caliper Material: Machined super duralumin aluminum alloy Cable: Low-friction stainless steel Brake Pad: EVO RESIN Pad Construction: Ceramic semi-metallic compound with aluminum backing plate Weight: Approx. 136 g per caliper, including brake pad Recommended Applications: Disc road, cyclocross, and gravel bikes Country of Origin: Japan ▼日本国内への配送ご希望は以下リンク先よりご購入手続きください。 https://store-eirin-jp.com/products/growtac-equal
