DIA-COMPE BA85EX V-brake Set | Compact Braking for Classic Touring Bikes
A front and rear short V-brake set that combines a compact profile with the braking performance of a V-brake.
The DIA-COMPE BA85EX is a short-arm V-brake featuring compact 85mm brake arms.
Its smaller profile is less visually imposing than a conventional V-brake, allowing it to blend naturally with classic touring bikes, randonneur-style builds, and steel frames.
The BA85EX is compatible with brake levers designed for cantilever and caliper brakes. It offers a practical way to introduce V-brake stopping performance while retaining this style of brake lever.
The brake arms are made from cold-forged aluminum. A dual spring-tension system allows adjustment on both sides, while the linear spring construction is designed for straightforward maintenance.
Supplied as a complete front and rear set, the BA85EX also includes DIA-COMPE 980EX brake pads. It is a suitable upgrade for riders who want to improve braking performance without significantly changing the classic appearance of their bike.
