The Sekkei Mountain Coffee Dripper by Rakusogaku Kobo is a compact, assemble-and-disassemble coffee dripper designed for hiking, camping, bikepacking, and bicycle touring.
It weighs only approximately 20g.
Its exceptionally low weight makes it easy to add to an ultralight outdoor setup, while the collapsible construction allows it to fit into a small space inside a backpack or bicycle bag.
The dripper is handmade using repurposed stainless steel bicycle spokes that would otherwise have been discarded.
Its distinctive shape is inspired by snowfields and mountain ridgelines in the Japanese Alps, combining practical outdoor function with a unique upcycled design.
To use it, assemble the dripper, place it over a Sierra cup or mug, insert a filter, and slowly pour hot water over the coffee.
It is recommended for use with HARIO V60 01 cone-shaped filters and is also compatible with trapezoid filters, cloth filters, and standard single-use drip coffee bags.
The raised structure helps prevent a drip coffee bag from becoming submerged in the brewed coffee.
The open design also allows gas released during brewing to escape more easily, helping produce a clean and balanced cup.

The first thing you notice when holding the Sekkei is its remarkably low weight.
At approximately 20g, it adds very little to hiking or bikepacking equipment. When disassembled, it fits easily into a small space, and its spoke construction also makes it convenient to hang from a backpack strap.
