Japanese-made trail socks with a tabi-style split-toe design for hiking, running, sandals, and bikepacking.
The HIKER TRASH ZEN SOCKS “HIKE＆RUN” combine a lightweight construction with a tabi-style split-toe design and a merino wool-rich fabric.
By separating the big toe, the design allows the toes to move more freely. The socks are suitable for hiking and trail running, as well as split-toe sandals and other outdoor footwear.
The fabric contains 80% machine-washable merino wool, offering moisture management, warmth, and antibacterial and odor-resistant properties. Nylon and polyester are added to improve abrasion resistance during extended use.
The socks weigh approximately 36g in size S, 38g in size M, and 42g in size L. Their lightweight and compact construction makes them easy to include in hiking, trail running, and bikepacking setups where reducing carried weight is important.
In abrasion testing, the toe, heel, and sole each reached approximately 5,500 cycles. This durable construction is designed for activities that involve long periods of walking or running.
A carabiner hole is built into the cuff. Inspired by long-distance hikers who hang wet socks from their backpacks or tents, it provides a practical way to carry or air-dry the socks.
HIKER TRASH was created through the experience of Triple Crown hiker Ryosuke “SKETCH” Kawato and the sock-making expertise of ROTOTO. Feedback gathered on long-distance trails has helped shape a series focused on comfort and durability for continuous travel.
