HIKER TRASH TRAIL MAGIC “HIKE TREK MID” (HT30003) | Versatile Mid-Length Merino Wool Trail Socks

Japanese-made trail socks balancing cushioning, fit, and durability for use from everyday travel to long days on the trail.

The HIKER TRASH TRAIL MAGIC “HIKE TREK MID” was created by combining the experience of long-distance hiker Ryosuke “SKETCH” Kawato with ROTOTO’s sock-making expertise.

The fabric is made with 79% machine-washable merino wool. Its moisture-managing, insulating, antibacterial, and odor-resistant properties are combined with nylon and polyester for improved abrasion resistance.

A pile-knit sole provides cushioning and flexible stretch. Integrated arch support and a three-dimensional heel construction help create a secure fit and reduce unwanted movement during extended periods of walking.

In abrasion testing, the toe and heel reached approximately 3,300 cycles, while the sole reached approximately 2,800 cycles. This durable construction is suitable for long-distance hiking and trekking, as well as bikepacking and cycling trips that combine riding and walking.

The versatile mid-length design is also easy to wear for everyday walks and commuting. It is designed for people who move naturally between the trail, the bicycle, and daily life.

A hanging cord at the cuff allows wet socks to be attached to a backpack or tent for drying. This practical detail was inspired by the habits of long-distance hikers.

HIKER TRASH prototypes were field-tested during Kawato’s approximately 5,000 km journey along the Continental Divide Trail in 2017. Feedback from the trail was used to refine the series for the comfort and durability required on long-distance journeys.
