【MKS×BLUE LUG】XC-Ⅲ BEAR TRAP PEDAL | A Classic Bear Trap Pedal Recreated for Modern Bikes

The 【MKS×BLUE LUG】XC-Ⅲ BEAR TRAP PEDAL is a collaborative flat pedal based on the SUNTOUR XC-Ⅱ, an iconic design from the mountain bike scene of the 1980s and 1990s.
Using the original drawings as a reference, MKS and BLUE LUG recreated the distinctive bear trap-style cage while updating the pedal with modern manufacturing techniques. The result retains the character of the original while fitting naturally into a wide range of contemporary bike builds.
The serrated cage helps hold the rider’s shoes in place, while the wide W100 × L90mm platform provides a stable surface underfoot. Combined with the smooth rotation associated with MKS pedals, it is suited to everything from everyday city riding to gravel rides and mountain biking.
Its classic appearance pairs especially well with vintage MTBs and chromoly bikes, but it can also add a distinctive accent to gravel bikes, BMX bikes, fixed-gear bikes, and commuters. Thirteen color options make it easy to coordinate the pedal with different bike styles.
