STATIC ALL ELEVATION L/S M's | A Merino Base Layer for Changing Conditions

From cool mornings and warmer afternoons to exposed ridgelines and rest stops after a strenuous climb, outdoor conditions can change quickly. A versatile base layer helps manage these shifts without requiring constant changes of clothing.

The STATIC ALL ELEVATION L/S M's is a long-sleeve base layer made in Japan from a 50% merino wool and 50% recycled polyester blend.

It combines the natural temperature-regulating and insulating properties of merino wool with the quick-drying performance of recycled polyester. The result is a fabric designed to remain comfortable during active movement while helping reduce the chill that can follow perspiration.

Its key feature is a textured structure created by knitting merino wool and polyester into alternating bands. The thinner sections function like mesh to promote airflow and release excess heat, while the thicker sections absorb moisture and provide insulation. This construction helps address the slower drying time commonly associated with merino wool.

The fabric is produced in Bishu, one of Japan's leading textile regions, and has a soft feel that is comfortable against the skin. Flat-seam construction further reduces irritation, while the extended rear hem provides additional coverage during forward-leaning positions on a bike or while moving through the mountains.

Suitable for hiking, cycling, mountaineering, camping, and everyday wear, it can be worn on its own or layered beneath a wind shell or rain shell. Its balanced appearance also makes it easy to wear beyond highly technical outdoor settings.

STATIC is a Japanese outdoor brand that prioritizes practical performance while working to reduce the environmental impact of its products. The ALL ELEVATION L/S uses a non-chlorine resin shrink-resistant treatment, and its production incorporates fabric offcut reuse and simplified packaging.

This base layer is especially useful for spring and autumn rides or hikes, when climbing generates heat but rest stops can quickly feel cold.

It manages these temperature changes well and feels less prone to becoming uncomfortably cold after perspiration. The fabric also has relatively little of the itchiness often associated with wool, making it comfortable to wear directly against the skin.
