STATIC ALL ELEVATION S/S M's | A Merino Base Layer for Changing Conditions

Breathable comfort for warm climbs, cool mornings, and exposed ridgelines.

From crisp mornings to warm afternoons and windy ridgelines, temperature and activity levels can change quickly in the outdoors. A versatile base layer helps release heat and moisture while providing enough warmth when conditions cool down.

The STATIC ALL ELEVATION S/S M's is a short-sleeve base layer made in Japan from a 50% merino wool and 50% recycled polyester blend.

It combines the natural temperature-regulating and odor-resistant properties of merino wool with the quick-drying performance of recycled polyester. The fabric is designed for extended activity, including hiking, mountaineering, bikepacking, and touring.

Its key feature is a textured construction created by knitting merino wool and polyester into alternating bands. The thinner sections function like mesh to promote airflow and release excess heat, while helping the fabric stay away from the skin when damp. The thicker sections absorb moisture and provide light insulation when resting or riding in cooler wind.

The fabric is produced in Bishu, one of Japan's leading textile regions, and has a soft feel that is comfortable against the skin. From the 2025 model onward, flat-seam construction is used to reduce irritation around the seams.

An extended rear hem provides additional coverage in forward-leaning positions while cycling or moving through the mountains. The shirt can be worn on its own in warmer conditions or layered beneath a wind shell when temperatures drop.

Suitable for spring and summer hiking, cycling, bikepacking, camping, and everyday wear, it is particularly useful for trips where reducing the number of clothing changes is important.

The garment also incorporates a non-chlorine resin shrink-resistant treatment. Recycled materials, fabric offcut reuse, and simplified packaging are used as part of STATIC's efforts to reduce environmental impact.
