MKS Sylvan Works Solow Table | A 218g Low Table Built with Precision Engineering

A lightweight outdoor table that makes the assembly process part of the experience.

Sylvan Works is the outdoor equipment line developed by MKS, a Japanese manufacturer with more than 70 years of history. The Solow Table applies the precision machining techniques cultivated through decades of pedal production to a compact, tool-free outdoor table.

The table consists of six parts that fit together without tools. When packed, it measures just 288 × 104 × 4.5mm and weighs 218g, making it easy to carry for bikepacking, hiking, solo camping, and other trips where space and weight matter.

The aluminum tabletop is finished with an anodized coating. It resists heat deformation and is designed to hold cookware directly. Raised edges help prevent small items and outdoor gear from rolling off the surface.

With a tabletop close to A4 size, the Solow Table provides practical space for cookware, coffee equipment, and other essentials. Its slim packed shape also fits easily into narrow spaces inside a frame bag or backpack.

The first thing we noticed during assembly was how precisely each component fits into place. The parts connect smoothly with minimal play, reflecting the level of machining associated with MKS products.

Despite its low weight, the tabletop offers enough room for cookware and a compact coffee setup during solo camping or bikepacking trips. Its thin packed profile also makes it easy to add to an already limited load.
