Carry a compact load on day rides or expand the bag for camping gear. Fred adjusts from approximately 2L to 8.5L to suit each trip.
The ROAD RUNNER BAGS Fred Bikepacking Saddle Bag is a roll-top saddle bag designed for day rides, touring, bikepacking, and bicycle camping.
Its adjustable capacity ranges from approximately 2L to 8.5L. Roll it down when carrying only extra clothing or expand it when you need space for a sleeping bag and other lightweight, bulky gear.
The outer shell is made from abrasion-resistant 1000D CORDURA nylon. A floating waterproof liner helps protect the contents from water entering the bag.
A hard inner core supports the shape, while cam-lock side compression straps help reduce swaying and sagging. Mega Grip fabric at the seatpost contact area helps limit slipping, and a vinyl skid plate protects the bottom from mud and possible tire contact.
PVC-coated webbing straps secure the bag to the saddle rails. The main upper strap can also hold sandals, a lightweight layer, or other items outside the main compartment.
【STAFF REVIEW】
After loading the bag, firmly roll the opening and tighten each strap in sequence to help reduce side-to-side movement and sagging. The shape is particularly useful for carrying lightweight but bulky items such as a sleeping bag or extra clothing.
Its ability to compress to approximately 2L is just as useful as its maximum 8.5L capacity. Fred can serve as a compact bag for regular rides and expand when additional storage is needed.
