LINDEN BK-02 | Ultra-Light Rear Light with Automatic Low-Light Flashing

Weighing approximately 5g, this thumb-sized rear light can be mounted to a helmet or bike with minimal bulk.

The LINDEN BK-02 is an ultra-compact rear warning light made in Japan, measuring approximately 35 × 13 × 10mm and weighing only about 5g.

A built-in light sensor automatically activates the high-intensity red LED flashing mode in low-light conditions. This reduces the need for manual operation when entering tunnels or riding as daylight fades.

The light uses an LIC (lithium-ion capacitor) and charges via USB-C in approximately 10 minutes. A full charge provides approximately 24 hours of operation, and PD-compatible power sources can also be used for charging.

The included hook-and-loop mounting set allows the light to be attached to a helmet or bike. Its compact, lightweight construction makes it suitable for everyday rides as well as use as a secondary rear light on long-distance rides and brevet events.

STAFF REVIEW

The first thing that stands out in person is just how small and light the BK-02 is. At around the size of a thumb and approximately 5g, it adds very little weight to a helmet and keeps a low profile when mounted to a bike.

The automatic low-light flashing function is especially useful on routes with frequent tunnels or when riding later in the day. With an approximately 10-minute charging time and around 24 hours of operation, it is also a practical option as a secondary light for longer rides and brevet events.

Mounting

Use the included hook-and-loop mounting set when attaching the light to a helmet or bike.

Notes

・The adhesive surface of the included hook-and-loop mounting material is very strong. Removing it may roughen the attached surface or cause printed graphics to fade.
・The light sensor responds particularly well to sunlight. The light may remain active under indoor lighting even when the room appears bright. This is designed to help prevent unintended operation caused by tunnel lighting or vehicle headlights.
